Legacy of wilson
WSL was a first joint venture partner of Concord Group Nassau, Bahamas in the year 1993. Concord Group was acquired by Wilson Group AB Sweden in the year 2000. Wilson Group Sweden was subsequently acquired by TNT FM Holland during the year 2005. Thereafter, Geodis Group France acquired TNT FM during the year 2007.
Under these circumstances, WSL India management bought back its shareholding from the Geodis Group in 2007 and also became the legal owner of Wilson brand in India as per the agreement terms and continued the legacy of Wilson Group Sweden.
Wilson brand is over 170 years old since "John West Wilson" from Hull founded the shipping and trading Company "J. W. Wilson" in Gothenburg, Sweden. This legacy continued by WSL in India as Trade Mark / Logo registered with Trade Marks Ministry, the Government of India vide license no. 781312 & 480720.
WSL is the member of IATA, FIATA, MSME, ACAAI, NVOCC, MTO, EU India Chambers.

Social Responsibility
The Directors of the Company are closely involved in social welfare activities like helping the poor and needy people, education support, religious activities and helping communities who were affected by natural calamities. One such example is the adoption of a village which is located 65kms from Chennai, Uyyalikuppam, Kanchipuram District near Neiveli was badly affected by the Tsunami in the year 2004. The management of the company whole heartedly came forward to rehabilitate the village which is mainly consisting of fishing community. Besides the management built for them a Maa Durga’s Temple of Oothukattu Annan along with community hall etc. Today the village has grown and became very prosperous in the region and maintaining the peaceful living.
